ROUND #5 (MAY 12, 2019)
vs SOUTHERN ETTALONG
LOST 0-1
Southern have had the wood on us over the past couple of years and it continued in this encounter. We fell behind early through a counter attack, in which our midfield chase lacked commitment and saw our defenders outnumbered. From there we tried hard but couldn't make an impact in the areas of the field that mattered. Another frustrating loss after competing well but lacking execution in critical aspects of play. Our injured list also grew exponentially as we lost Ethan Kennedy immediately after this game when he dislocated his knee 5 mins into the U21 game.

ROUND #4 (MAY 5, 2019)
vs AVOCA
LOST 1-2
This match saw us again require the services of Toby Flanagan & Lachlan Pemberton from the U16s due to demands from the Senior squad. We played against the dominant side over the past 2 seasons and battled from the outset. Nil all at halftime was accompanied by the loss of two players who were required elsewhere for the U21s match. The lads came out limp in the 2nd half and within 60 secs had fallen behind. This was followed up 10 mins later with a second. We fought hard though and managed to halve the deficit, but were no match for a side who will likely be the team to beat at the pointy end of the season. The news got worse within an hour of this loss when Saxon Peers filled in for the U21s and broke his wrist meaning he will miss the next 10 weeks.

ROUNDS 2-3 (APRIL 14 + 28, 2019)
The 18As started the season with a bang (15-0 win), followed it up with an ugly 3-2 win over a weak Ourimbah team, then suffered a 4-3 loss to Kanwal after absolutely dominating with the ball. During this topsy turvy first month we also sacrificed players to the senior squad which left us short and requiring help from three U16 players. To cap it off, CCF regraded our first round opponents which saw our 15 nil victory disappear, and us slide down the ladder.

ROUND #1 (APRIL 7, 2019)
vs TERRIGAL
WON 15-0
A flying start for this group of young men who clearly benefited from a tough pre-season spent training and trialling with the men’s Premier League squad. We wasted little time establishing ourselves as the dominant side in this match by dictating play from the outset. Some impressive passing combination play and quick ball movement had Terrigal completely outclassed and saw us establish a 6-0 lead by halftime. The highlight was a first half hat trick by Kieran Bowdidge who scored our first three goals inside twenty minutes. The second half was even more dominant as our opponents began to lose heart and struggled to track our players during our eager attacking raids. To our credit we continued to make the ball do the work and ripped them apart with our passing combinations. This was one of the largest under 18 wins by Wyoming on the hallowed Alan Davidson turf and bodes well not only for this team in 2019, but also for the future of the Premier League squad, given the exposure and experience these lads will get training and playing with the senior group this season.
