VS TOUKLEY (LOST 2-6)

The game started very fast & continued like that for most of the match. Toukley scored 3 goals in the first 20 minutes . The girls fought hard & in the 21st minute ness had a long shot, what a cracker woohoo! we scored! Well done ness. Half time score 3-1.
Second half was just as fast moving with toukleys front line having more pace than our girls & scored in the 50th minute. We hit back with Peta scoring in the 60th minute.
Hard fought game & the score did not reflect the game at all.
Thank you to Nathan for putting his hand up to ref the game . You did a great job.

GAME #4
VS TERRIGAL (WON 3-2)
April 30, 2017
We made the trek up to Mangrove Mountain to play this week. We started of slowly, not playing to our ability. However we did have opportunities to score numerous times, hitting the post more than once. We went in at ½ time 1-0 down.
After a very stern half time talk, our aim was to go out & score the first goal, quickly. Let the ball do the work for us. Make our passes count & challenge for the ball. We did all of the above. Peta slotted a goal 3 mins into the 2nd half. We’re back on track. We started to dominate the game. We won a penalty after an hour & Ness slotted it perfectly. Terrigal responded not long after & its 2 all. We dug deep & Ellie scored a cracker of a goal in the 72nd min. We had 8 mins to hold the lead. Megan made a couple of crucial saves in goal & we were under pressure for the remainder of the game. We held on & got the 3 points.

VS BUDGEWOI (WON 4-1)

We made the trek up to Budgewoi not knowing what to expect. We ended up with a bare 11 players. Our game plan was making the ball work for us so we don't have to run too much. Fitness not being the strong point atm.
The first 10 mins were fairly even, Budgie were making their own opportunities, then we started dominating the midfield & making the ball work. The passing game was pretty to watch. Lots of shots on goal. It took 22 mins before Ness slotted the first goal. Peta followed with the next goal just 2 mins later. We went in at 1/2 time with the 2-0 scoreline.
We started the 2nd half just as well, although no reserves was starting to show. We started getting tired & pushed the ball around a bit more. It took 9 mins before Peta put another away. Spirits were high, we kept dominating & it took another 7 mins before Nat scored her first goal for years. Credit to Budgie they kept trying & it payed off for them. To our girls, wow I havent seen that style of football for quite a while. Well done team.
