GAME #5
VS TERRIGAL
May 6, 2017

Once again the 6D1'S during their warm up had to ask their coach what animal our opponents were today. My response was "Terrigal don't have a animal like us tigers" (5 seconds of silence and a scratch of the heads) Harvey says "I can see some sheep over there" pointing to the East Gosford team on the adjacent field. Chuckle chuckle, giggle giggle.

5 games into the season and the kids could not of played better! It was the most physical game of the season to date, but the Tigers never took a backward step.

Liam - Keeps on improving every game, lots of big kicks!

Flex - Same as Liam, Couldn't of been prouder of them both

Aleira - Best game! Took a knock last week and bounced back strong this week

Jonathan - I never knew kids at this age would or could be so defensive minded until I watched this little bloke! Your a champ Jonathan, great team player!

Taytin - Scored every game this season! This was no different - GOAL GOAL GOAL, enough said

Harvey - Player of the week! Took some big knocks but got back up and retaliated with two goals! So proud how Harvey conducted himself on the pitch and didn't let a couple of set back stop him playing great

GAME #4
VS UMINA
April 29, 2017

As the season progresses the kids are starting to have a keen eye on their opponents. So when the 6D1's were warming up Taytin pipes up and says "what animal are we playing today?" Harvey's response "I don't know but their jersey's look like poo", chuckle chuckle, giggle giggle.

In the end the Eagles were too good for our tigers. There are always positives that come out of these tough games, like great defense and a good attitude towards teammates and the opposition. Special mention to player of the week Liam and Sports award recipient Jonathan. Well done kids! As coach I couldn't be more proud of this team! When the team on a whole worry more about goals being scored against them than scoring them tells you a lot about their character. Tigers ROAR!

GAME #3
VS EAST GOSFORD
April 22, 2017

First home game of the season and with a massive crowd to cheer them on the 6D1's seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Both teams went into the halftime break pretty evenly balanced.

Second half East Gosford ran away with it and our little tigers just ran out of puff towards the end. Special mention to Aleira who played her heart out and received the Sports award. Player of the week went to Taytin who has improved his game this season to the point where he is going to score or put himself into an opportunity to score each week. The game was topped off with all kids munching down on a bag of red frogs - happy days.

GAME #2
VS TERRIGAL 6
April 8, 2017

Second game into the season and the coach had the whole squad at his disposal! The team welcomed in Aleira for her first ever game for the tigers and Taytin who missed the first round was back in the mighty yellow and black.

Aleira - Couldn't of had a better debut for Wyoming FC! Straight into the action and never backed down from the boys.

Taytin - This one would have to be up there with his best performances to date. One goal and some other close chances.

Liam - Another great performance! Liam has taken his game to a new level and its only a matter of time till he gets that first goal of the season.

Zane - Player of the match! Made some great tackles plus a goal and corrected the coach when after the games I said "well played boys"

Harvey - Last week Harvey collected player of the match, this week Harvey showed us that he can play good week in week out, great game!

Flex - Improvement on last weeks games and that's pretty much this teams motto, try you best and the rewards will come.

Jonathan - This section might get a little boring by the end of the season. Jonathan just does everything right on the pitch! Well done.

GAME #1
VS UMINA 4
April 1, 2017

The first game of the year is usually a good indication of whats to come for the rest of the season. With that in mind the 6D1's are going to have a great year! There was plenty of improvement on last years efforts and the kids are starting to form strong friendships with each other.

Zane - New kid on the block who fitted in from the get go and has some skills. Probably made the most tackles of any player on the park

Liam - Straight out of the blocks, great first half and showing massive improvement on last years season

Harvey - 2 goals and a lot of dribbling. Someone has been in the backyard during the off season

Flex - Good start to the season and just like last year I hope he can build on that effort

Jonathan - Another great perfomance! Jonathan made a number of goal saving tackles and long dribbling runs plus a goal to go with all that

Just want to finish with the parents from both teams. It was a great game but made even greater because of both teams parents providing a positive atmosphere that the kids bounced off. Well Done!
